Calling all artists! Affordable Art Fair Singapore is holding an open call for their Young Talent Programme, a fantastic platform for emerging local artists who don’t have gallery representation. Not only is this is a wonderful opportunity for chosen artists to have their work seen by galleries, art institutions, collectors and the general art-loving public but two to three selected artists will be awarded an amazing three week curated solo show at ION Art in 2015!
The Young Talent Programme is an annual event held during the Affordable Art Fair in collaboration with ION Art. It’s aimed at encouraging and discovering emerging young talents early, providing them with guidance to further their artistic development and helping increase their profile in the art world.
Who can apply?
Open to artists who are born in or living in South East Asia, individuals must be aged between 18 to 35 (you must still be 35 on 15 September 2014) and can’t have gallery representation at the time of application. There’s no particular limit to the medium of artwork allowed however pieces that need to be suspended from the ceiling or require a darkened space cannot be submitted, plus keep in mind that the artwork will be displayed over the course of five to six days (so, preferably nothing perishable!)
Sound good? Apply before 15 September by visiting the Affordable Art Fair’s Young Talent Programme website and follow their instructions.
