Attention fashionistas! If you are looking for something fantastically fashion forward, then you’ll definitely want to make your way to Workshop Element‘s latest pop-up shop, right in the heart of Orchard Road. Opened by Singaporean fashion veteran Alfie Leong (who won Designer of the Year at the President Design’s Awards 2013), Workshop Element gathers the best young emerging designers as well as fashion veterans from around Asia in their creative concept store space.
Inspired by construction, this 6000 sq ft industrial-style store curates 19 labels and 16 designers, with pieces ranging from clothing and bags to accessories and shoes. Pick up jewellery from homegrown brand Carrie. K (we’re particularly obsessed with her statement Heavy Mettle necklaces), shop for beautifully tailored pieces from Alfie Leong’s own brand Mu, outlandish pieces from local designer Gilda Su’s brand Rêvasseur, luxurious python leather bags from Ling Wu (the Alice clutch is firmly on our lust-list!) and more. No one trick pony either, Workshop Element offers goodies for the boys with Singapore-based casual menswear brand Sundays by Yong and quirky watch brand Nooka and homeware thanks to fantastical cardboard furniture and home décor (yes you heard correctly), designed exclusively for W.E by Tri-Wall CreativeS.
So, if this tickles your fancy, then you’ll be as chuffed as we were to find out that Workshop Element’s pop up will be in its current home until February 2015. Huzzah!
