Halloween may be next weekend, but your feasting and revelry can start now. If debauchery is your style, we’ve got heaps of events up our pretty sleeves for you, from Whiskey Live to a spiritual yoga and spirit fest on the beach…
Get busy & boozy
Now in its fifth year, 2014’s Whiskey Live event promises 70 brands of whisky, rum, gin, cognac, tequila, mezcal, vodka armagnac, and cheeses and food to try. It’s more than just a free-flow session, of course. Be sure to try Southeast Asian rums, namely Chalong Bay, which is the pride of Phuket, distilled from first-press Thai sugar cane in a French copper still, and Don Papa, a “single island” rum which has been crafted on the slopes of a volcano in the Philippines and bottled after seven years in American oak. If that’s not a pick up line for a whiskey drinker, we don’t know what is.
