I’m not sure about you, but whenever I see picture perfect travel pics popping up all over my social media feeds, I get hit with a bad case of travel envy. So after coming across yet another Facebook album full of pristine white beaches and palm trees, I made a promise to myself: to stop wanderlusting and to get going. Luckily, I came across the awesome travel resource Chic Collection, which made everything so much easier.
So, what is Chic Collection exactly? In a nutshell, it’s a way for stylish travellers to set off on stylish holidays – whether you’re looking to recharge at a hidden Sri Lankan spa retreat or to dig your toes into the sand at a Kenyan beach. All the great hotels they work with are independents and feature amongst the best in the world, with properties in places everyone’s raving about and the hidden gems you’ll be privy to. As their CEO Nigel Bolding puts it, “I feel that [Chic Collection’s] work is only done when we connect the right guest with the right hotel.”
That’s a tall order for any lifestyle travel company, however they’ve set out to make finding the perfect vacay pad easy through their innovative website. It’s all divided into a number of inspiring categories and believe us when we say that there’s something for everybody. Looking to see your first snow or to hike fearlessly up the face of a mountain? Then your port of call’s definitely the Alpinechic hotels, where you’ll be able to book everywhere from a cosy little chalet in Switzerland to the secluded grandeur of a lodge in New Zealand.
If, like me, you’re a major fan of tropical holidays, then I’d recommend checking out the Barefootchic collection. (I may or may not have combed through it for an hour or three.) Sun, sea and sand’s the name of the game here and you’ll be able to check out tourist favourites like the Maldives or shoot off to a more offbeat spa resort nestled on one of Oman’s beaches. Speaking of spas, they’ve got a great spa and healing Hide&Chic collection for those of you looking to get away with your besties for a weekend, or to simply destress in luxurious privacy. If you just can’t bear to leave the city behind, then check in at one of their Urbanchic properties in the coolest urban jungles like London and Barcelona.
I’m particularly a fan of the Ecochic collection, where Chic Collection’s gone off and found some of the most beautiful eco-oriented hotels across the world. It’s a little limited at the moment, however I’m eyeing the absolutely stunning villas nestled in Peru’s picturesque Machu Pichu. After our Sassy Girl Sammy came back raving about her time in Africa, the Safarichic collection’s definitely looking more and more tempting as well with a number of gorgeous selections in South Africa and even the UAE.
To be honest, the best way to learn about the Chic Collection is to head over to their website and comb through their stunning properties. It’s pretty obvious within a few clicks that these guys are passionate about holidaying – and holidaying perfectly.
