While it’s certainly true there’s no such thing as a free meal, the same doesn’t always go for drinks – especially on Wednesday nights. That’s right – for those not yet in the know (seriously, this will change your social life, and potentially even your Thursday daywork life) each and every Wednesday, bars in Singapore fight it out to give the lovely ladies of this Garden City the very best in free, or at least greatly reduced, evening fun.
It’s all or nothing – DREAM
For those with the mentality that Wednesday is the new Friday, DREAM on River Valley Road is for you. Part bar, part nightclub, DREAM offers ladies free flow house pour drinks on a Wednesday and if you absolutely can’t leave those boys at home, they offer a special ladies night rate of $35net for the men.

See and be seen- Ku De Ta
If you are sick of seeing people pass shorts and flip flops off as formalwear, then Ku De Ta is the place for you. Not only does this Marina Bay Sands based bar and restaurant enjoy one of the most stunning views across Singapore, it also boasts an enviable reputation as one of the more chichi spots in town. So, onto the ladies night – with live DJ’s, the party starts at 9pm with not only the entrance cover charge waived but there’s one free drink too.
Ladies Night: from 9pm – late.

Cocktail Queens – The Exchange
If you work in the Marina View area, you can take that water cooler chit chat to the next level at bar/restaurant The Exchange, where there’s a free flow of Martinis and Cosmopolitans every Wednesday. And for when those booze munches hit, you can choose from tasty treats put together by Kacey Whaitiri-Roberts, who used to work for none other than dining dynamo, Gordon Ramsey.

Hipster Haven – The Vault
With a deconstructed, minimalist, New York loft vibe, The Vault sits in a 1930’s two-story shophouse, getting its name from the three tonne vault which doubles as a door. While ladies can enjoy the generous offers of free vodka and gin based drinks, hungry hipsters can head upstairs in this art meets music venue for some fine, yet fuss-free fare.

The Vault, 23 Circular Road, Singapore, 049379, 6223 9695, www.thevault.com.sg
Bubbles and Heels – Lantern Bar
We can’t take all the credit for this catchy title – it’s actually the name of the popular ladies night at The Fullerton Bay Hotel. From 8-9pm every Wednesday, the hotel’s rooftop bar, Lantern, turns into the city’s most fabulously fashionable hangout with free flow cocktails and exclusive offers thereafter.

Sophisticated Supping – Bacchanalia
While not technically free, the ladies night at Bacchanalia gets its spot on our list for the sheer, unadulterated class of its offer. At this relatively new venue on Coleman Street, ladies with an appreciation for the finer things in life can treat themselves to 1-for-1 Moet & Chandon Vintage champagne all night.
