In case you’ve been living under a rock, our Little Red Dot is celebrating the big 5-0 this year! That’s right, our humble metropolis is playing host to a plethora of events, parties, picnics, shindigs and more to celebrate its golden jubilee. Not only is this a time for celebration and excitement, it’s also a time for reflection and reminiscing. Which is why we’re thrilled to introduce you to SG Heart Map, a lovely SG50 programme that calls on Singaporeans to share their stories of certain places that define Singapore as their home!
Think of SG Heart Map as an online portal to the past, present and future of the Lion City, with places mapped out according to individual memories that have been lovingly shared with the community. There’s no doubt that our city is ever evolving, modernising and redeveloping, so now more than ever is it important to find out about or rediscover those hidden gems.
Since its launch back in November 2014, SG Heart Map has attracted thousands of contributions from all walks of Singaporean life and covering a wide spectrum of themes such as romance, family, school-days, food and more. Which is where you come in, girls, it’s time to share your stories and memories! SG Heart Map will continue to collect stories till March 2015 and they’re constantly on the lookout for more. So, what are you waiting for? Be a part of Singapore’s rich history and submit your story!
