Singapore certainly doesn’t want for lack of restaurants, but does it ever seem like you can either go for atmosphere or great food, but rarely get both in one package? That’s definitely not the case with Lewin Terrace, an absolute stunner of a French-Japanese fusion restaurant situated in the most lush and picturesque of Singapore locales – a colonial Black and White in Fort Canning Park.
Combining the precise, uncompromising culinary techniques for which French and Japanese chefs are both famous, along with an emphasis on fresh, seasonal produce, Lewin Terrace opened last year to glowing reviews.
With a stellar degustation menu along with an extensive wine and Sake list, it’s obviously a fab spot for a romantic date night or special occasion, though it’s equally lovely at lunchtime, and they do offer an a la carte menu as well. Highlights include dishes like the “Crescent Moon” Foie Gras Terrine with Smoked Duck, the Lightly Smoked Waygyu Beef with Rocket and 63° Egg, and Kyoto-style Grilled Cod with Miso, to say nothing of their decadent desserts!
If you’re looking for something extra special, Lewin Terrace will be hosting an exquisite, one-night-only Omakase Dinner this evening as part of Oishii Japan, ASEAN’s largest dedicated showcase of authentic Japanese food, beverages and ingredients.
Executive Chef Keisuke Matsumoto has created a special 6-course degustation menu highlighting the best Japanese ingredients and techniques, and as a bonus each diner will receive one complimentary Sake produced in Ibaraki Prefecture.
This dinner is a must for lovers of Japanese cuisine and culinary techniques. Priced at $168++ per person, the dinner will last from 6.30-11pm – we suggest you come hungry, girls! Be sure to email firstname.lastname@example.org to book your spot!
