The reason why we’ve decided to speak up about being comfortable in your skin is because we recently heard a bunch of young girls in the ladies’ room talking about how much they hated their figures, how they’d love to have Kendall Jenner’s legs and how they would kill to have a full bosom. We blame the media for this but hey, it’s time to throw out all that negativity. And darlings, we’re here to tell you to stop this insanity! You’re all beautiful, unique and striking in your own ways and you need to stop all this self-hate! Note to self girls: You are enough.
We’re no experts but we feel the best way to appreciate yourself is to love yourself. Here are some useful tips and habits that you can adopt to be the best versions of yourselves.
There Is No One Else Like You
No one else smiles the way you do. No one else talks, walks and laughs the way you do. There is no other brain, physical body or spirit like yours on the entire planet. We understand that as human beings the feelings of inadequacy, insecurity and jealousy may arise but it’s pivotal to take a breath and check in with yourself. Always remind yourself that there’s no one else like you and can all that negativity away. Life is too short to waste your time wishing you were someone else. Celebrate being you!
Bring your shoulders back, stand tall, walk with your head held high (leave that b*tch resting face at home please). Walk with a sense of purpose, that you’re made to do great things and that you’re entitled to a space in this world. Everything else will follow naturally.
Dress for your body type
One huge tip for exuding confidence? You’ve got to buy clothes that fit, girl. Not every trend is right for your body shape. Make a wrong decision and you might just end up looking like a trash bag! Ask yourself what YOU like and whether you absolutely love yourself in that dress. Be honest!
End Your Day On A Positive Note
Before hitting the sack, end your night with a positive thought about yourself. Did you help someone with an errand or did you make someone’s day by being kind or thoughtful? Think about something positive you did that doesn’t involve your physical appearance. Had a bad day? Then forgive yourself because tomorrow is a brand new day.
Shake off the haters
Nobody has the right to make you feel bad about yourself unless you give them permission to. Remember it’s YOUR life. If you come across anyone that toxic, avoid them and try not to make them a part of your life. Trust us, it’s half the battle won.
