So we’ll admit that finding an office space in the perfect location that fits our budget falls under the #lifegoals category but recently, there’s a new player in town that’s changing office culture in Singapore. Enter Workhouse, a new co-working space that’s located in the heart of the colourful Little India driven to become a hub for collaborative ventures amongst start-ups.
There’s been a rise in entrepreneurship in the past few years so the opening of Workhouse couldn’t come at a better time. Design-wise, the unconventional workspace in a shophouse was conceptualised by award-winning local design studio, FARM and was designed to foster a sense of belonging for its tenants. The open space concept (every spot is worthy of an Instagram shot) features an outdoor terrace, a zen courtyard entrance, and an outdoor spiral staircase that leads up from the ground floor to the terrace. Other shared facilities include two meeting rooms, a reception area, lounge area, central pantry, shower facilities, and an outdoor terrace which doubles as an event venue.
Loving the concept of co-working so far? Workhouse is deeply passionate about diversity and building a community that thrives on collaboration through a mobile application and offline events. By creating an exclusive online community hosted on Slack, members can share ideas, documents and communicate in real time (we heard they have the great eatery recommendations in Little India). And if you’re a social butterfly (just like us!), then you’re going to love the weekly socials hosted to encourage positive interactions and cross-sector collaborations.
We’re especially loving how clean, zen and industrial the whole space looks and every corner of the shophouse is loaded with a chock full of inspiration – perfect for busy and stressed out young #girlbosses like us.
Happy co-working Sassy Ladies!
