Here at Sassy, we’re always thrilled to spend our money on anything that’s born and bred in Singapore. Whether it’s a handbag brand to a hot sauce label, we’re fierce supporters of our fellow Singaporeans who are hustlin’ to make their dreams a reality.
Of course, when a pop-up store that stocks locally-made food items opens up in a hipster hub, we can’t help but make multiple visits to the store. Crateful, an e-grocer that sources from local producers, has an online store, but for those who have never tried these brands, samples of some items are available at their pop-up at Yong Siak Street.
The store, even though it’s small in size, has been divided into six to help your shopping needs – everything from Spreads for jams and dips, and Bites for granolas, chocolates and nougats, and even Bakes for cupcakes and pastries.
Some of the items available include granola by Eastern Granola and The Edible Company, matcha almond milk by The Mlk Co, juices by Hic Juice and The Blend & Press Co, jam by GSH Conserves, all-natural fruit sodas from Citizen Pop and nut butters by The Hunters Kitchenette.
We recommend picking up a couple bottles of chilli sauce by Mofo Chili for your hot sauce-lovin’ friends this Christmas!
