Christmas on Orchard Road
Hitachi-claus is back on Orchard Road! Girls, when annual sponsor Hitachi lights up Orchard Road with fairy lights and wreaths, we know Christmas shopping has finally arrived! Get inspired for gift ideas with a stroll along historic Orchard Road, and make sure to pop into the special photo exhibition by Shaw House commemorating 50 years of tourism. Happy shopping!

Leather Forever Hermes exhibition
Calling all fashionistas! Hermès fever is a global phenomenon and now there’s an exhibition here on our little red dot where we can learn even more about the iconic brand, and its love for leather specifically. ‘Leather Forever’ is an exhibition celebrating the fashion power house where you’ll get an insider glimpse of the intricacies of the leather-making process by actual craftsmen from the Hermès workshops in Paris who will demonstrate the art of leather by creating iconic Hermès bags on site at the ArtScience Museum! Ooh la la!

A Clockwork Orange
Catch a terrifying stage adaptation of Anthony’s Burgess’s famous book A Clockwork Orange in what is described as an “electrifying and testosterone-filled physical theatre ‘horror show.'” This is certainly one for adventurous gals so grab a few of your friends because there’s nothing that brings friends closer better than watching a horror movie come to life – you’ll have jumped into each other’s seats by the end of the show!

Dimensions and Demons
If you’re looking to break up a dull work week and keen to see life from a different perspective, make sure you catch ‘Dimensions and Demons’ where you will get the chance to follow three collaborative projects between Singaporean writers and musicians as they interpret their dreams, consciousness and intimacy.

Bibik Behind Bars Kena Again
This musical comedy with a very local twist will have you in fits of laughter as you get to know the Bibik family of Katong as we watch these ‘Kaki-Judi’ game-blers as they indulge in their crazy, ‘Bey-Pio’, ‘Tiok-Toto’, ‘Kasi-nos’, Boleh Kasi antics! Support the Peranakan Arts Festival by showing your love for the Bibiks!

Boutique Fairs is back again with even more local designers and small businesses looking to bring awareness to their products in super competitive Singapore. Housed in the F1 building, Boutique Fairs promises a cozy browse through a wide selection of unique products such as clothes, accessories and home goods from a variety of different boutique shops which may or may not have their own physical shop the rest of the year. It’s always exciting to discover new products and get to know the ladies (and men) running some of Singapore’s most well-loved boutiques!

Rewind featuring Mr G
Dance off your nerves and forget about the hustle of the work week at Kyo’s Rewind Friday where the hottest club in the CBD brings yet another night of kicking house beats with the return of Mr G and his latest critically acclaimed album ‘Still Here.’

The Great Singapore Jerk Off
BBQ, music, Gillman Barracks – need we say more? Get ready for a reggae afternoon at Gillman Barracks as they roll out the BBQ pits and plug in the sound system for a street party complete with Jamaican Jerk chicken coated in sauce specially flown out just for this party – we kid you not!

Game Start 2015
Calling all gaming gals! Asia’s premier gaming convention is back and boasts two halls featuring the latest games to hit the world! Come in costume to really partake in an excitingly diverse meet up of like-minded gaming fans – last year drew a crowd of 12,000 so we can only imagine how big this year will be!

Books & Beer
Who says books and beer don’t go together? Bring your favourite reads which will be donated to fellow book-lovers and join in on a new kind of book swop where you can debate classics versus modern lit while sipping craft beer in trendy pub TAP right in the CBD. The vibe is just like a book you can’t put down – inviting and keeps you wanting more! This definitely isn’t your mother’s book club, ladies!

10 Years of Books Actually
Following on the lit theme, Singapore’s beloved book store Books Actually is celebrating 10 years of supporting local and international readers, writers, publishers, artists and designers! Who knew a book store could grow to become the cultural institution it is to so many book lovers who seek it out as their escape to a readers’ utopia? Check out their birthday exhibition featuring a walk down memory lane of all of Book Actually’s shop locations over the past 10 years.

Street Knowledge: The School of Hard Knocks
Think of this as a Ted Talk for the Hip Hop lover. Hosted by KOI Bangers and Izakaya, take down some drinks and put your ear to some thumping beats as you get a musical education from a selection of Singapore’s most creative hip hop artists. There’s even a live podcast for those tuning in from afar!

YOLO Run 2015
YOLO stands for You Only Live Once and this inaugural 5km run at Gardens by the Bay really encourages you to let it all go by running shirtless! Well, girls need to wear at least a sports bra (ahem!) For every shirtless runner, X-Change Republic will donate one t-shirt to an underprivileged child in a developing country.

It’s the Ship

Neon Lights 2015

The Gentlemen Soirée
Rounding out the month is an event to support our men during the month-long movement of ‘Movember’! Movember is a global men’s health charity committed to changing the face of men’s health.
