The Projector premieres What We Do in The Shadows

Bon Iver – Live in Singapore
The critically-acclaimed indie folk act that brought you haunting tracks like Skinny Love and Holocene will be performing in Singapore for the first time this February! Singer-songwriter Justin Vernon hails from Eau Claire, Wisconsin, U.S. and has had Rolling Stone magazine calling his first record, “one of the all-time great breakup albums, not to mention one of the era’s surprise success stories.”

Fault-lines: Disparate and Desperate Intimacies
Fault-lines: Disparate and Desperate Intimacies is an exhibition by emerging curator and writer Wong Binghao that introduces a new generation of artists whose work addresses the queer experience. He graduated in 2015 from University College London with a degree in History of Art, and his previous curatorial projects include WE ARE LOSING INERTIA (2014) at no.w.here, London, and Asymmetric grief (2015) at Arcadia_Missa, London. Shaped by Wong’s research in three broad areas — queer diasporas, affect and kinship — Fault-lines presents video, installation and performances by emerging artists from Asia and the U.S.

WE USED TO BE CLOSE: a double bill by Take Off Productions
Counting by Sabrina Dzulkifli starring Nessa Anwar and Shafiqhah Efandi tells the story of two Malay women who used to be best friends. They meet each other one day, several years after their friendship falls apart and decide to spend an afternoon together reminiscing. As the play unfolds, and the two friends recount their friendship from their own perspectives, a complex story of the expectations of community, family and society develops.

Let’s Hike! 11: Cherishing the Green Corridor
With the imminent closure of the Green Corridor set to happen later this year, visitors are scrambling to get a last taste of the lush ‘nature highway’ before its destruction. Here’s your last chance to make some memories at this almost-untouched stretch of greenery with the Ministry of Adventure, girls! Only one rule applies: “Enjoy the 24 kilometre long Green Corridor and bring back great memories before it ceases to exist!”

The Artling Pop Up: Part II
For this edition of the pop-up, The Artling will once again be partnering with Books Actually, who will be selling a curated selection of titles in the space. As the official sponsor of drinks for the event, SingBev will be bringing a tasting of Mortlach and Lagavulin whiskys available on the opening night. Neighbourhood café, Stamping Ground, will also have a coffee cart in the pop-up, serving free coffee on the opening day from 2pm-5pm. Come down for a weekend of curated artworks you may just bring home to brighten up your special space!

F4t Kids Are Harder To Kidnap
Since 2008, Fat Kids Are Harder To Kidnap has been entertaining audiences with their quirky observations and wacky take on current affairs. They’ll take on the feat of fitting 31 plays in an hour, but you decide the order! This show, created by Singapore theatre group How Drama, isn’t afraid to tackle the hard issues: technology, cab drivers, secret agents, old school terrorism, math and more math.
