With the season of Gift-ing round the corner, don’t fret if you haven’t got a clue on what to do! We’re here to the rescue, with cool pitstops that allow you, to discover something new, pick up a gift or two, and have a treat (or a few!).
Candylicious Munch: Midnight treats turn daytime sweets with Janice Wong’s new venture of a candy shop at ION Orchard’s Level 1 Atrium. If you have loved Wong’s whimsical creations of the 2am Dessert Bar (described as ‘edible performance art’) launch yourself like a kid in a candy shop at this! Delectables such as marshmallow paintings, spherical cakes, and chocolate balloons and kites abound as well as chocolate paint for you to make your own creations in an array of 38 colours and flavours. With over 70 sweets to choose from, the tooth fairy might need to visit instead of Santa this Christmas! Officially opening on 22 December 2014, Wong will have pop-up stores at the Gardens by the Bay’s Supertree Grove from November 29 to December 21st 2014 – munch over!
Go Nuts: Second Helpings, an all-natural peanut butter company founded by Ezra Nicholas was inspired by his wife’s preservative-free recipe tailored just for him. (Awww!) Her jams are made with peanuts, sea salt and honey instead of sugar, and contain no artificial ingredients, including thickeners, which make them runnier than normal. Flavoured in cocoa, coconut and vanilla from $8 for 100ml to $42 for a litre, they are a hit being sold at Pasarbella almost every weekend selling almost 200 bottles! Check them out on Facebook and Instagram or email firstname.lastname@example.org to order not only one gift… but second helpings!
