New to Duxton Hill is Club 39, the ground floor bar and restaurant of exclusive members’ only Club 39, which spans levels two to four. The bar staff greet you like long lost friends as you walk in, which is part of their overall ethos – to be a home away from home. Cocktails are topnotch; take the Spiced Pear Margarita, an impressively saucy number made from smoked chipotle spiked aged tequila and William pear. They’re open for breakfast midweek and a hangover brunch on the weekends for the likes of Truffled Eggs, Portobello Mushroom, Potato, Asparagus and Jamon, slugged down with a gazpacho-style Bloody Mary.
