If you love a designer deal, you can forget about stalking Ebay.sg (there’s nothing good on there anyway!) and turn to newcomer Chic Stash to shift the dead weight from your closet, or, if you’re not exactly drowning in pieces that are soooo last season, bag yourself a bargain from the site! From Hermes handbags and Louboutin shoues, fashionista mamas will be in total heaven picking over all the goodies on offer at pretty much rock-bottom prices. The higher-end items are still eye-wateringly expensive of course, with a Birkin going for SGD17,500, but more mid-range brands like Ann Klein, Juicy Couture or Coach are in the sweet spot.
We Sassy Mamas headed over to the Chic Stash launch party last week which was held at a suitably fabulous venue; a gorgeous villa with a Balinese vibe, right in the heart of Singapore. There we met the native New Yorkers behind Chic Stash, sisters (and mamas!) Denise and Dianne, who were totally inspired by their own groaning closets to launch their new venture. Pre-loved isn’t exactly a huge thing in Asia yet (check out our guide to pre-loved and second-hand shopping in S’pore!) but they’re leading the charge by making second-hand, chic.
As well as curating the selection of items on the Chic Stash site, Dianne and Denise offer additional services including personal shopping, and giving your closet a total makeover, helping you sort out which of your wardrobe “investments” can be turned back into cash again! It’s not all about the bottom line either, Chic Stash also have a caring side, whereby they partner with charitable organisations like Star Shelter, Make a Wish and Caring for Cambodia to donate clothes to.
