The British It girl brings her effortless style to Marks & Spencer!
H&M and Uniqlo may be the first names that come to mind when we mention “high-street collab”, but British retailer Marks & Spencer is making its mark in the fashion map with its latest collaboration with the statuesque, effortlessly beautiful and quirky Alexa Chung. Her coveted wardrobe just got a lot more accessible, girls!
M&S opened its vault to the influential It girl, allowing her to delve deep into their fashion archive as she handpicked certain styles to be reproduced with contemporary fabrics and a colour palette that’s Chung-approved. Aptly named Archive by Alexa, the collaboration brings the modern icon of British style with the classic, long-standing tradition of high street fashion.
We’re so excited to get our hands on everything. The sophisticated, vintage-inspired London style embodied by Alexa Chung will flatter anyone and just needs her signature cat-eyeliner and a nude lipstick to complement pieces like the printed paisley mini dress and maxi pleated skirt. Pair them with a carefree attitude and a side of class, and you’ll be taking the streets by storm!
From what we’ve heard, this project is the first of the ‘M&S &’ series – where a sequence of unique, exclusive collections in collaboration with some of today’s most exciting designers, brands and fashion icons are coming to us in the future seasons. With a collection that looks this good so far, we’ll gladly lay our cash on the counter. Which style star will join forces with M&S next?
Archive by Alexa will debut on Thursday, 14 April 2016 and will be available exclusively at Marks & Spencer Wheelock Place. Prices start from $69.90.
