French designer ZaaZaa Walid has just opened a concept lifestyle store in Singapore called Manifesto. With more that 15 years of experience under his belt, ZaaZaa has worked with many well-known brands such as Calvin Klein, DKNY and Replay.
Why should you pay Manifesto a visit?
Here, you’ll be able to peruse a range of hard to find international designers in Singapore and quirky lifestyle products. Think of brands like Costume National, Barbara Bui, Christophe Lemaire and Kitsune.
The ethos of the store is one of democracy. ZaaZaa specifically believes fashion is for all and does not want it to be an elitist environment. He will also be partnering with the design schools in Singapore to help students learn more about the fashion industry.
The Manifesto space is like an art gallery with an industrial feel. The entrance is 6 metres wide and there are floor to ceiling windows (so much light!). This reflects the idea of being non-elitist; the advocation of transparency. What you see on the inside and outside of the space is the exactly same. The store’s aim is to be a thriving destination for fashion and design.
What an instant fix? Check out their partner Inverted Edge for the good stuff!
Manifesto is located in the new Capitol Piazza, Corner, Stamford Road, #02-19, Singapore 178905.
