Here’s a list where you can catch Singapore’s brightest and largest fireworks ever!
Everyone (except dogs, maybe) loves a good display of light and sound. And by that, we’re talking about fireworks of course. The day that we’ve been waiting for is finally here – our nation’s Jubilee celebrations! Every year on National Day, people anticipate the fireworks display and this year, on our 50th birthday, we will witness the biggest showcase yet! With that in mind, we’ve put together a list of places for you to see the mega-watt splendour in the sky. So put on your reds and whites, and be sure to charge up your phone (or bring an extra battery pack) because the display will be Instagram-worthy.
The fireworks spectacular at Esplanade Waterfront always expects a full crowd of people because it’s the most prominent area to get the full view of the fireworks; seeing that it’s just right across from the Padang. The outdoor concert venue for Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, this breezy spot is a great place to hang out at on National Day with the family and you’ll definitely be able to soak in the ambience of the celebrations!

The Merlion is a must-visit for every tourist that swings by Singers and it’s also the perfect subject if you’re looking to capture some shots of the fireworks. The Merlion is right opposite the Padang and Float @ Marina Bay, so you’ll be sure to get a beautiful panoramic view too. Just don’t forget to bring your tripod!

A trail that highlights Singapore’s history, the Jubilee Bridge was built to celebrate Singapore’s 50th birthday. Talk a stroll from the Merlon Park to the promenade in front of Esplanade and choose a spot to park at to enjoy the full view of the fireworks.
If you’d like to admire the light display in comfort, with a mat laid out while munching on some homemade pasta, then head on to the roof Marina Barrage. Enjoy the light sea breeze and watch the night sky light up between the Singapore Flyer and Gardens by the Bay.

Gardens by the Bay East
This spot is probably the quietest and getting here requires a vehicle. If you’re not a fan of crowds and you’re coming with a a rather large group of people, the Gardens by the Bay East is the perfect place for you. You’ll be treated to a beautiful display of fireworks with the city’s skyline as the backdrop – simply picture perfect! Avid shutterbugs will love this spot too for its panoramic view.
