Whether you’re a married couple waiting for your BTO flat in the boondocks to be ready, or you’re just dating, it’s tough to get some action when you’re living with your parents, and let’s face it – a lot of young Singaporeans are. Take time out with your partner for a quick (or quickie, if you prefer) romantic getaway right in the city.
You’ve seen Lloyd’s Inn on Instagram. With its stark white space, the 34-room boutique hotel is a Instagram junkie’s dream come true. The hotel is located just off Orchard Road, so you can spend your day shopping and feasting up a storm, and spend the night together in this hotel that’s many a designophiles’ dream come true. It is extremely minimalist – with splashes of black and white everywhere, juxtaposed with accents of nature all around.

In case you didn’t know, the government is more than happy to support your baby-making initiatives. As part of the SG50 Baby Community Initiative, 12 hotels in Singapore have started offering staycation specials till April (so you can pop a baby out by the end of the year) and Naumi Hotel gets you in the mood for some sexy time. They set the stage with a bouquet of flowers, a rose petal bath, a romantic set dinner for two including a bottle of sparkling wine. You’ll also score complimentary free flow wines and beer from 4.30pm to 6.30pm to get, well, uninhibited for all the naughty deeds later.

If you watched American Horror Story: Asylum, you’d remember Jenna Dewan-Tatum and Adam Levine acting as newlyweds touring haunted houses (and doing the dirty in them) on their honeymoon. If you’re into that sort of kink, you’d be glad to know that the new Raintr33 Hotel was formerly the Changi Hospital; the building was infamously taken over by the Japanese during World War II. It was said that the Japanese used the building as a prison camp to torture POWs during the war, and until its refurbishment started several years ago, the site has been said to be one of the most haunted places in Singapore.
