The Little Drom Store
Quirky, fun, cute-collectors, this one’s for you. The Little Drom Store is an art and design paradise that houses random knick -knacks and also collections of all things fun and inspiring. After you scoop up all the goods you can carry to pimp out your home with, don’t forget to shop their in-house accessories label, Hug a Porcupine! Nope, we’re not talking about the airport here. But pretty much with travel in its veins, the brand is all about infusing elements from the world over into your home furnishings. We hear you asking – Is this Fred’s home? It’s a valid question, really! But on a more serious note, Fred Lives Here is a spunky furniture and lifestyle store on Emerald Hill that’s just a gem! The store is fun, aspirational and if you’re one that loves to decorate your space with a little whimsy and in a riot of colours, then you’ll love the folks at Fred. We even heard that they’ve collaborated with local designers and graffiti artists for some furniture and we would definitely love to get our hands on some!

Owned by a dynamic pair of husband and wife, Supermama was created when founders Meiling and Edwin quit their jobs in pursuit of a fruitful sabbatical. Today, the store cum residency studio is an oasis of products and homeware that are displayed on beautiful shelves. Pick out beautifully designed porcelain bowls, plates, souvenirs and many other stunning pieces for your home. There’s something very peaceful and zen about this store; it almost feels like we’re very centered and complete.

A brainchild of Irene Hoofs who started a journal to document and share her passion for design, art and craft, Bloesem is an online site that embodies a minimal and eclectic aesthetic. We’re currently eyeing these graphic cushion covers by award-winning designer, Ingibjörg Hanna Bjarnadóttir – they’ll look amazing in any bedroom! And we totes love the dedicated craft session on the site, perfect for filling up your lazy days!
